A gochar is a transit - where a planet is right now, as against where it was when you were born.
Saturn is in one sign today for everybody on Earth. So why is a transit reading personal at all?
Because the classical method counts it from your Moon sign.
"Saturn is in Aquarius" is an astronomical fact and nothing more. "Saturn is in the 4th from your Moon" is a reading. Two people born a fortnight apart can have the same transit landing in different houses, and the tradition reads those completely differently.
That counting step is the entire reason a transit is about you - and it is precisely the step a "Saturn transit for all twelve signs" article skips. Those articles are counting from your sign as though it were your first house, which is not what the gochar rules say.
Because that is how the classical transit rules are written. The Moon is the reference for gochar in the same way the ascendant is the reference for the birth chart.
There is a reason behind the convention. The Moon is the fastest-moving reference and the one tied to the mind - transits are about what is happening now, and the Moon is the part of a chart most responsive to "now". The ascendant is a fixed structural reference; the Moon is the living one.
Many practitioners check both, and we print both. But when a classical source says "Saturn in the 3rd, 6th and 11th are favourable", it means from the Moon.
A transit page that treats every planet alike has thrown away the most useful piece of information:
Jupiter and Saturn are the transits people actually notice, and that is not mysterious - they are the ones that stay long enough for a period of life to take shape around them. A Moon transit and a Saturn transit are not the same kind of event, and a page giving them equal billing has flattened something that matters.
Here is something most transit pages get wrong by omission.
Saturn and Jupiter each spend several months a year appearing to move backwards. Which means a slow planet can enter a sign, retrograde back out of it, and enter again months later. It crosses the same degree three times - forward, back, forward.
So a Saturn transit does not arrive cleanly on a date. It arrives, withdraws, and arrives again. A page giving you a single ingress date has simplified a three-part crossing into a headline, and anyone who has watched a Saturn transit knows the three-part version matches experience better.

A transit is read against the running dasha, not on its own.
This is stated plainly in the sources and ignored almost everywhere. The same transit during a supporting period and during a difficult one are not read alike - and a planet transiting well while its own dasha runs is a different matter from the same transit during someone else's period.
The reasoning is simple enough: a dasha says which planet's affairs are currently in view, and a transit says where the planets are. Reading the second without the first is reading half the information.

If you want to know how a specific transit lands for you rather than for your sign, the classical answer is Ashtakvarga.
Ashtakvarga assigns each sign a number of bindus - points of support - specific to your chart. A transit through a sign where you hold six or seven bindus and the same transit through a sign where you hold one or two are genuinely different transits, even though the planet and the sign are identical.
